Windows Explorer

A few months ago I was on my computer and it froze. I restarted it to find that the windows explorer was gone. Every time I go to task manager and try to open it, it comes on then goes right back off. I have no idea what the problem is but it is making my OS use so much memory at one time. I was hoping someone could help me.

Have ya tried system restore? If that fails ya could try the sfc /scannow command. And if ya still get no joy just do a clean install

well freezing can be caused by many factors, if we knew what OS (operating system) you were using we could diagnose your prob. futher.
