Unable to access My Documents on older XP install

Hey, so here is my question. I have two hard drives, one large one small. I recently decided to install ubuntu on the small hard drive (before I had XP on both and just selected between them) to try it out. What resulted from this however, was my small hard drive giving me a boot disc error, and my large hard drive loading ubuntu and not XP at all.

All my documents, music, etc remained on the large hard drive which i used it for, but I could no longer get windows to start. I unplugged my large hard drive, installed XP on the small one so i could get back to windows, and returned my large hard drive to the computer to get my files back. Unfortunately, it will let me access everything on the drive except for the My Documents folder under my user name. It just says My documents is not accessible, access is denied. Why does this happen, and is there any way to get around it?

Thanks,
