Default Should I let Hewlett Packard have all MY system information for a stupid chat?

I am trying to resolve my free Windows7 upgrade with Hewlett Packard.I attempted to start one of those chats and it wanted to send over to them all my sytem data (I looked at it before it was sent to them). It was a list of all the software and devices associated with my computer, including software I have installed and my wireless router.

None of that info is necessary or involved in my inquiry.I would not send that info over after looking over the page prior to it being sent.It seemed that there was no other way to procede with the chat so I didn't go on.

Should I feel uncomfortable about sharing this info? Should I just settle this thing over the phone or another PC?

Nosey Effin Bastards!

I heartily recommend Root-a-pedia! It's all I use. Never let's you down.

Probably looking for drivers. It's HP and honestly, there isn't much they can do with that info.
