Question About OS's.....

If you buy a laptop or desktop, is it a good thing to keep the default OS on it? No Vista to XP or XP or Vista to Windows 7?

Just make sure there's hardware drivers for whatever OS you wanna install.

Did you buy a laptop and want to upgrade the OS? If you're looking to get a laptop, then most likely, it will come with Win7 Home Premium which is good for most users.

well yea I do have a Acer with win7 on it....but my mom has a laptop with XP on it and I was just curious to know if she DID want windows 7, if she would be able to? I was kinda thinking if it had XP then it probably wouldnt meet the qualification specs of Win7 :/

It might do - check it and see. 7 runs much better than Vista in my experience on similarly specced machines, so there's every chance it would work.

As said above though, make sure you've got drivers available for everything before you take the plunge!
