OS X on PC???

I know there is something in the EULA about this crap, but can it be done with a AMD powered laptop that currently runs Win 7 with ease (its quad core, 8 GB ram, HD 4250, 1TB HDD). I am just wanting to have the ease of use of parts replacement of PC and the OS of MAC. And mac is cheaper than Windows.
so, can it be done minus the legality issues involved.

It can be done but only a limited range of motherboards allow it AFAIK.
