Hey guys, I've just started up on linux, and now I have a bajillion questions. But the one I want to tackle for today is, how do i get internet on my linux os? I've tried to find the driver for my network card but w/o internet it aint' working, and having linux find my card isn't helping at all. So i'm kinda stuck. Thnks!

I am guessing that means your NIC is unsupported, unless you're using a wireless card.
If you are, research ndiswrapper, the easiest way to install it is through Automatix, which is easily downloaded in a .deb/.rpm file.

hm, the card is an intel pro/1000, how would i upload it if I can't get the usb ports to recognize my device?

I have an intel pro/100/1000 on the computer I am currently typing on, and it works under Linux just fine... What distro are you using?
