New motherboard, os?

Okay, I plan on getting a new motherboard. But keep the same HD. I just recently like 2 days ago updated the os (Windows 98) to windows XP home ediition. Now my question is - When I install the new motherboard and connect it to my HD will everything be fine and dandy except new motherboard? Or do I got to do something else? Reinstall something, formatt, slap, kill? I dont have the XP CD no more, I lost it (Left it on the bus, don't ask damnit lol) so is this going to pose a problem?

Windows should startup okay but you will have to contact Microsoft to re-activate it or it will stop running after 30 days. Shame about the CD -- someone somewhere got a nice free copy of xp at your expense!

... and don't forget to remove the motherboard drivers such as sound, usb, graphics etc
