Question Hibernation and Standby Problem!!

My Dell Microsoft XP laptop use to be able to hibernate, but for some reason it when you click the shut down tab on my start menu, there is neither a hibernate or standby option. When I go to the power properties, there is no "Enable Hibernation" button

Reinstall chipset and video drivers. Then see if your options return.
But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.
