HELP! Keyboard issues....

I know this isnt a hardware issue because i've swapped keyboards and still happens. My son (2 year old) was banging on my keyboard one day and since then I've had issues where half the keyboard would stop working like i cant type. but buttons like Enter shift alt and other buttons would work just not a lot of letter keys. I was wondering what combination of pressed keys would make it do it or how to stop it. it also makes my mouse unable to click things or click things repeatedly so i can get in or out of programs.

That's very odd. don't quite know what it could be, but try to do a system restore if your sons action was recently.
a restore will not hurt your files, but it will change back system settings that have happened sense a chosen date.

I wonder if he managed to turn on sticky keys... try tapping the left shift key 5 times really fast and see what happens.
