I'm currently running a Windows XP and Fedora Core 4 dual-boot setup. Recently, my Windows XP install has been hanging about 5 minutes after boot and takes an awful long time to boot, even though it's a relatively new setup (few months old). My Fedora Core install also has this problem. Can someone tell me a way to diagnose and isolate the hardware which might be causing this problem?

hmmm thats weird....have u changed any settings that would involve the boot process such as drivers, startup items, or bios settings?

No. Didn't make any such changes. It just happened out of the blue today. Well, I have had hanging problems in the past, but they were sporadic.

Usually, the Linux and Widows boot after a while is supposed to make some issues...but that's what I heard.

utilize Task Manager and look under the Processes tab and see what could be hogging your processor to the point of it hanging.
