Does anyone know how to disable auto-restart after Windows updates in Win 7 Premium? I put my laptop to sleep every night before I go to bed, and sometimes it installs stuff even while it's sleeping (no idea how that happens), and restarts the computer afterwards. That means my laptop is burning the entire night without me knowing, and I would find the computer restarted and at the log-in screen in the morning! This is VERY annoying and has happened multiple times already. Does anyone know how to:
1) DISABLE auto-restart after updates
2) DISABLE auto-update when the laptop is sleeping (it's SLEEPING for a reason goddamit)
I still want auto-updates, but ONLY when I'm actually using the laptop. After updating I want no auto-restart, rather I want to manually restart the computer if I feel like it.
I'm using Premium version of Win7, so there is no gpedit.msc (yes I did some googling)!
