Okay. I'm at the end of my f-in rope. I've messed with this for over an hour.
First, installed steam. Waited all day for GTAIV to download. Then registered for frickin' social club. Then registered for Games for Windows Live. Then synced the gamer tags.
It first told me that it could not update GFWL (once I got into GTAIV to start the game). So I manually installed the update. Then, it told me that it failed to connect. When I click on network info or whatever, it has nothing for internet IP, but I clearly have internet! I've opened these ports on my router:
- TCP 80
- UDP 88
- TCP 3074
- UDP 53
- TCP 53
- TCP 443
- UDP 1024-5000
And still no go. I've read something about NAT something or other, but I've got no clue what that is.
I'm getting pissed. I'm glad I only paid $8 for this game. You know, this is NOT convenient. Nothing is ever as convenient as popping in a damn disc and just PLAYING. Goodness gracious, great balls of fire.
