before downloading upgrade advisor

I know it depends on the OS currently running .... eg i am using windows 7 - do i need to download windows 8 upgrade adviser? or the adviser for the OS i am currently using?..I'm a little unsure about this.

Please let me know which upgrade adviser to use for vista , 7 , 8, etc

You'll want to use the Adviser for the OS you want to upgrade to. (e.g. If going to 8, then use 8).

HOWEVER, I would NOT upgrade from 7 to 8. I don't know how MS screwed that one up but they did. Do a clean install of 8 to avoid some major bugs.
