Smile audacity help

wen I open a Stereo sound file in Audacity I can't figure out how to change it to Mone.

I select all of the sound file and then I click on the Arrow for the dropdown list at the start of the track.

And I see Mono but it is Grayed out.
So do I have to split the track and then some how delette one of them??

Please tell me what to do

Default Re: audacity help

Simply go to Edit - Select All, and then go to Tracks - Stereo To Mono.

This will auto convert the selection to a mono track for use.

Make sure you have the latest version, as this function may not be there on the one you have (I have no idea)
