laptop to s video

my friends laptop screen broke so we got an s-video cable to hook it up to his 480i tv
but the font is really fuzzy and unreadable any way to fix this?

Only solution is to lower the resolution.

S-Video is horrible for displaying computer information unless you set it real low.

hit the nail on the head there,

personally i use my laptop on my t.v everynight and my res is set to about 800 X 600,

and the only reason i use it everynight is for watching films which it does perfectly it just has real problems displaying text,

Properties > Settings > Screen Resolution

Set it at 800 x 600

480i tv's use 640x480 resolution (or 720x480)

Yeah, S-Video isn't good for anything but watching videos. I've done that before on my TV and it worked good, but not to use the system daily. Best bet is to get a new screen for the laptop, either that or get an external monitor.
