Ok, so I am doing some small customization to a truck.

I am going to be getting a truck just like this

And first what I need to do is build a custom hydraulic lift for the bed. I'm not sure where to find these. I'm looking on ebay, but not much luck. Needs to at LEAST raise the bed to a 45 degree angle.

Something like this would be perfect

but I cant find anything on a smaller scale with a pump.

Would anyone have any idea where to get something like this?

My friends dad has a Diesel Ram 2500 with a hydraulic lift in the bed, but I'm not sure where he had it done.
Why are you starting another project so soon? What happened to the jeep?

Well this is for Laurels dad. Her mom wants me to build it as a present for him.

I'm still selling my car to get that jeep. Its up in Autotrader and craigslist ;)

Oh ok. Why do you need a hydraulic lift on a light wieght truck though? Whatever you load up there, it will be just as easy to lift it off or use ramps or something. You cant carry much of a load of dirt or stones.

Could you just buy a hydraulic cylinder and fabricate brackets etc. your self?

I saw one on the tv show Trucks! one time that used air to lift the bed......not sure what it was called or anything, I'll look around to see what I can find.

Edit: It was easy to install too, the air compressor and tank came in a nice neat box already assembled, all you had to do was mount the box, run power to it and then run the air line to the air bag that raised the bed, which was easy to install as well, just mount it with bolts.
