I tried to use it yesterday and it simply timed out. Most torrent sites are slow anyway but that was excessively so.

I now know the real reason; although I legally license software to my clients I do not always do so for myself...

i use torrentz, which has a lot of mininova stuff. i like that site because it also usually has comments

I find comments help me not download some random porn instead of the linux distro that I want...

yea some comments are great. especially when im trying to find a movie and im not always sure of the release, and some noob posts "aXXo, dvd rip" etc. the comments soon tell me its a fake
