I prefer gaming consoles for gaming cos you would have to update your pc every 6months to a year for gaming and i couldnt afford that . for now my two pc's do fine in our house cos they are basically for web surfing , listening to music and general school /college work

Also, you don't need to worry about an OS on a console. I much prefer console gaming over PC gaming.

also theres no hardware compatibility issues , or bsod's all the time , just pop the game in and play

22" Sceptre users unite!!! Man, I love that thing...

My new build will play pretty much anything, so I'm not too worried. And the X2 3800+ is still really nice.

Lol, you have one too?

Damn good monitor!

I like consoles for those reasons, but I'll always prefer mouse and keyboard over console controllers. Except for the Wiimote. That thing is awesome. The Xbox and Playstation controllers are just awkward to me. I think eventually though, console gaming is going to rule over PC. It's just much easier for the average user.

And yeah, you recommended it to me!! It's awesome. You can multitask so well with it. I don't have an HDTV (yet) so I use it for my 360 as well. It bleeds a bit, but you don't notice it unless it's a black screen.

Uhh mine i just got last summer, but it isnt outdated YET that is...soon to be.

for little over 500$ those parts are steal just wait for the CPU cooler to come and order em.
ive been looking at parts for my build and i came up with those expect the case cause i already have that
for the cpu think about this
3600(rated speed) divide it by 1900(actual speed) you get
~1.9 soo if 1.9 rated mhz= 1 actual mhz then if you oc to 3ghz your rated speed is...
5700!!!!!(exactly) they dont even make a brisbane that goes that high for under 100$
dual core!! great deal

Dont worry bout it, all our pcs are out of date about 5 mins after we buy them:)

How are you going to OC that from 1.9 GHz to 3 GHz with a $20 cooler? You would need at least phase change (liquid nitrogen and such) cooling, and then I don't even know if it would work.

I love raceing games,i was flicking through gamespot and saw that test drive unlimited was being released, anyways i though "hey my pc will run the no probz",i did a search and found that these are the specs needed:

OS
Windows 2000/XP and above.

CPU
ntel P4 @ 2.4Ghz or AMD Athlon 3000+.

GPU (Video Card)
ATI Radeon 9800 or Nvidia 6600 GT with 256 MB of VRAM.
Video Cards with vertex/pixel shaders 2.x and above are recommended.

SPU (Sound Card)
DirectX 9.0 compatible Sound Card.

System Memory
512 MB – 1 GB recommended.

Dam,it was only a year ago my pc could play all new releases,What about u guys?

Thats quite a high spec really. Most games usually have a built in 'legacy engine' so older users can play them. I remeber when COD2 came out and you could get away with a geforce 1!

... lucky bums... mine i got 8 years ago.

p4 800mhz, now 1.7 ghz cuz i cleared cmos and oced...
256 pc133 sdram
half working cd drive.
8 mb nvidia vanta...
