I am new to Windows Server and am trying to work out how to setup roaming on my Windows Server 2003, I have 10 computers running Windows XP Pro and 1 laptop running Windows XP Home. How do I set up roaming on my Server (where i want the user accounts to be held) and on the other computers. I have looked on the internet for help but they dont make any sense to me, I need a nice and easy set by step guide.

Thanks

That link above is crap. First, you just change the user to being roaming in Active Directory. Second, Windows XP CANNOT be administered by Active Directory at all. So the profiles for anything used by Home do not matter. Upgrade it to Pro so it can be used on a domain or just do not worry about it you do not care.

Heres a good tutorial site: http://www.visualwin.com

On the server machine:
-Install AD (Active Directory) and DNS server
-Add users in AD

On the XP machines:
-Join the computers to the domain
-After restart, select the domain in the "Log in to" drop down menu in the login box
-users can log in

When you login to the server from a different computer, roaming profile is already in use since your "roaming" off from the server.
