I have been messing around trying to install the Frontpage extensions. I had it working for a few minutes, then I don't know what I did, but now apache won't start. I have looked at the log files and it shows nothing. Also, when I run apachetl configtest, it passed (Syntax OK). I have also uninstalled the httpd rpm and reinstalled a fresh copy. As well as a new httpd.conf file. Still fails. Where do I go from here? Thanks for the help.

What Web Hosting Panel are you using, or is it your own Server without one?

Personally I'd just reinstall, its always easiest :D

when you start from the terminal (/etc/init.d/apache2 start)

the error message here should help you.
also what server are you usng, when I fist installed apache on a redhat box I found that it still appeared to be using the tux httpd server over apache when starting from the services monitor. so you could well be editing the wrong httpd.conf with the corrections.
