Added SCSI HD want to change RAID config

I added a third SCSI HD to my server running 2003. I want to change from RAID 1 to RAID 5.
When I go into the RAID config. utility, I see the drive and when I change the configuration to Raid 5 but I can't boot up. I go back in and change it to the old config. and it works fine but doesn't show the new HD in Disk Management.
The chain is terminated. I am confused.

This is my first upgrade of a server.

You have to set RAID 5 then set up your server. You cannot just simply set it to RAID 5 and it be working. Set it to Raid 5 and redo the drives with the SCSI utility, then reinstall your Windows 2003.
