Suitable final year project title

helo.......can anyone give me so brief idea on which type of system is suitable to be develop for university level final year project ,and which type of programing language is appropriate?

I've just done my final year project, I created some online sofware using ASPX/SQL.

I've a fried on y course hose been programming microcontrollers using embedded C.

Another guy programming microcontrollers using op-codes.

Another guy has written a DOS based Wav - midi converter using C - and shit loads of complex maths.

it's not really what you write th FYP in, It's the suject and indepth study.

I've been told by my supervisor that it's mostly the write up that will count, if you choose a simple project you'l get more marks when you've had the time to do kick ass write up, than you would if you'd chosen an overly complicated project and not had time to make a decent write up.
