XP Pro offline files help needed

Hello.
I am currently having an issue with offline files in Windows XP.

To put it in simple steps;
1. The network share on the server has been configured, so that only files that the user specifies are available offline.
2. Offline files are then enabled on the client laptop and the amount of disk space for temporary offline files has been set to 5GB.
3. After making all of the documents available offline, the machine works fine, until the next logon.

When I next log on, the hard disk is under constant activity, and appears to be downloading more files from the server.
The documents share is the only share with offline files enabled on it, and all the files from that have already been made available offline.
I come down the next morning to find that I have about 20mb of free space on the laptop C:\ disk!
When this happens, I have to disable offline files, and delete the entire contents of C:\ Windows\CSC.

I would be very grateful if anyone would give me advice as to make offline files cache local copies of only the files and folders I select.

Many thanks in advance,
Dan
