VPN Enterprise size remote connections

Hey guys,

Can anyone give me a rundown on how vpn access works in an enterprise scale?

From user to server.. I'd like to have a general idea on this

How do users connect? How is the network private?

Why do you say enterprise size? What do you even mean by that?

Bear in mind that in an enterprise there may be different offices connected via VPN, or there may be users dialling into VPN connections from home.

I understand the whole concept of VPN. What I'm trying to know is the technical part of the subject. From setting up the servers to setting up clients.

Is that clear enough?
