Hi everyone,
I have a Powerbook G4 and an IBM PC Pentium 4. I want to transfer a file from my PC, but it is over 4 GB and I don't have an external hard drive that my Mac can read. I have been told that I can set up my Network Preferences on both machines and transfer the file by connecting a firewire or ethernet cable between both computers.
I followed the instructions at this website:
http://www.macosxhints.com/article.p...31112091634533
... but I have not been able to make it work. I start up, WS-FTP Pro on my PC, type in "10.0.0.1/", followed by the username for my Mac, but it always says "Connect Failure."
Any idea what I'm doing wrong here?
