I am going to be plugging in my PS3 and desktop together, without changing cables.

Will this work? I currently use it in my office to plug my KYOCERA KM-4050 and Dell workstation, and it works fine. I only notice a small bug on the KYOCERA, I get some communication errors, only when using this switch, with direct plug in it is fine.
btw my internet speeds are about 8 mbps and I'd like to keep it up.
