I doubt people will find this interesting but its worth a try?

ethereal is a good packet tracer, check that one out

It isn't a packet tracer, it is a packet sniffer. It doesn't trace the path of the packet, Instead it records packets that are sent to the machine but rejected. Ethereal allows you to snif out other packets as well.

Really only good on a network with hubs, as the data will get sent to your computer as well as the destination computer, allowing ethereal to do its job.
