Unhappy Odd LAG Problems

My friend has the same internet service provider as I, but for some reason, if we have a LAN party or need to create a network for some reason or another, HIS connection lags. My connection however, is perfectly fine.

Let's say five people are connected to my network and we are all playing online games--we all get reasonable ping for how many people are on the network (50-70). However, on his connection, if more than three people or so are online playing games, the ping is horrid (around 200).

Another thing to include is that we tried my router, and same problem. Again, it's the same ISP. The only thing my friend and I can guess is that the CABLE itself is literally in not good shape compared to where I live, up the road (lol).

Any help in anyway is very appreciated, thanks in advance!

yes, and also could be the router he connects to on his ISPs end may be a different, slower one.

Possible other cuases may be traffic on that one subnet of the cable company (router) may be higher then your (router) you connect to.

if the lag gets worse, please contact your cable ISP.

Hope this helps.
