Default New user to domain name registration and linux web server

I seem to be having some problems understanding how DNS work.

I went out an purchased my own domain name. I want to have it point to my linux webserver. I'm a new user for both although I shouldnt need any help with the linux part.

The site i registered my domain on requires me to enter some name servers (ns1, ns2)

I do not know what to put in here at all.

I have high speed dsl and have a static ip address. my modem works somewhat like a router as it gives my several computers a private ip address (192.168.2.x)

How do I figure out what I have to put into that name server boxes?
