network security key doesnt work

hi. just picked up hp mini.. when asked for my n.s.k. it doesnt fit the n.s.k. my linksys is telling me to use.
its asking for a 5-13 digit network security number while my linksys gives me a like 26 number key???

I assume n.s.k = Network security key?

If it is, then you will have to go onto a computer that is on a wired connection, and go to the routers page and change the password, or find out what it is

It could also be that the mini doesn't support the network security you are using on the router.

Also some wireless software makes you choose what kind of encryption you are using and you might need to change it so that it knows you are using 26 (seems like it should be 28) bit encryption and not 13 bit.
