Default Network Accelerators

First Of All Do these even work?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I have tried many FULL accelerators but i never felt it work.

ex.My Connection speed was around 150kbps then after an accelerator 120kbps
WTF is up with that!!!!!!

If you have ever tried one and think it worked please post your results!And tell me if any worked!

they just change tcp settings and stuff. work well for torrents. for general downloading i cant see much of a difference.

Laptop spec: ASUS X53E, i5 2430m 2.4ghz, 3gb ram, 320gb hdd, intel hd graphics, usb 3.0

What an accelerator does for you is it takes that web pages that you visit the most and saves their information and cookies, in a separate cache. Then when you go to visit one of those pages, it will bring up the page faster. For the most part accelerators are a waste of time and money.
