Nat?

okay, so im trying to play Halo 3 beta, and I get a message while trying to join someones game, saying that my router has a "Strict NAT" i noticed with a lot of my games, that i can't join many games, nor can i hear some people, etc.
how can i fix this? will port forwarding work?
if i bypass my router, it works fine, but my family needs the wireless up, so how could i do this?

no, please move this to networking, it's the right place. And you know it too.

As for the problem, there might be some nat options on your routers settings. Having NAT enabled shouldn't cause any problems, and at least on my router I don't think I can even disable it, but there might be somethings that you can change to get rid of the problem.

Check your router for port forwarding settings, you should be to set it there.
