Is an xbox link cable just a CAT5 Ethernet cable?

Sorry I'll expand on that...

an Xbox live cable (used to connect the Xbox to the internet gateway) is just a straight through cat5 cable (in fact I'm using noe to conect my computer to my hub).
the system ink cable (used to connect two xboxes together, is a crossover cable.

you can connect more than one xbox (upto four I think), with regular cat5 cables and a regular hub allowingupto 16 players in any game on four TVs

Yeah, I wasnt sure if it would be crossover or straight through. I figured it was crossover cuz it is connecting two of the same hardware devices.
