Laptop sometimes doesnt connect to wireless network

My laptop connects to the internet through my wireless router. It has data encryption and everything should be working and all but sometimes it doesnt connect to the network. In the log it says

Feb/04/2006 20:40:22 Wireless PC connected 00-15-00-2A-33-0B
Feb/04/2006 20:40:22 state: paeDISCONNECTED

and

Feb/04/2006 20:44:55 Authentication success 00-15-00-2A-33-0B
Feb/04/2006 20:44:55 state: paeDISCONNECTED

any ideas why it disconnects?

Could be a defective wireless card or a defective router, thats the only thing I can think of why it disconnects so fast.
