Having Problem with connecting to my wireless Network.

Okay, here we go:

I'm using a Wrt54G Router, works with 802.11 b/g -

I have 2 Laptops, 3 desktops, everything works BUT my newest HP Laptop which is a Hp Pavilion zv6000

My older laptop works on the network just fine (wireless network), but my newest one will not pick up the wireless connection period.

Off the Box it says it works with a 802.11 B/G Router, which that is what my Router is, and myt older laptop is working off a PCMIA card, which is a 802.11 B card.

I have all the security disabled on the router, so that I will have no extra problems. I'm using the windows locator for the laptop. With the laptop's side by side, one gets the internet the one wont get the other at all.

Even if you try and make it scan for a network? Sometimes they won't pick up unless you make them scan for the network. Once they find it, they usually lock on. Another point- you sure the wireless is enabled on the laptop?

It was werid, I tried this thing called "reading." What a powerful technique, I checked the manual and to my distinct knowledge it suggested that I should hit the key which "turns on" the wireless functions. Once this magical button was pushed, wierd things started to happen, all-of-the sudden it picked up my network. Oh what a wonderful life this is.

I can build a computer from the ground up, really funny, once you "think" you know everything, you start to think you DON'T need a manual. Ahh, what a wonderful awakening.

Thanks in advance, when in doubt read the manual! :)

What a wonderful conclusion!

P.S.
Read the manual muahah!
