connecting to home computer

Hi, could someone please explain how i could connect to my home computer from work to access files.

Not unless you use a different type of software. I really recommend VNC

Is your home PC Windows XP Pro or Home or Neither?
Work computer?

You could use Remote Desktop Connection, real easy to setup.

i installed vnc, got it to work. but its very slow when i use my laptop to connect to my desktop. i plan on bringin my laptop to work and connecting to my home computer. but maybe not if its going to be this slow.

It's never slow for me. What type of connections are your PC and laptop using?

wireless G router w/ cable internet... the internet is fast... i dont know what is making it slow, both computers run pretty speedy.

yeah i just installed vnc on my other computer and thats slow too... i dont get it. i have used vnc at my school and its not this slow. it must be something with my router....?
