I am in desperate need to learn how to change my IP address. I am not sure how though. Please Please! Someone! Help me!

Do you have Broadband or Dial-up.

Dial-up will change everytime you log on; but Broadband you'll have to ask your Service Provider to change the IP Address.

You should contact your Service Provider, and ask them to change it for you. I would have thought it changes all the time? but its been a while since I've had Dial-up.

odd problem

its very rare for dial up to offer a fixed IP.. its just to expensive.

It may be something the IP offer, and you can ask them to stop.

Also, go into your dial up connection properties tab.. go to network settings,, and then into TCP ip..

make sure all tabs are on automatically allocate as opposed to pre-configured

(make sure you not doen the existing settings incase they are needed)

Change the MAC address of your network card to something a little different. I do this occassionally on my router using a cable connection. The DHCP server will think you are somebody else and give you a different IP address.
