asking about command ping

Hi all,

I have two computer which was connected to a HUB
those two computer can access data mutually.
But I can not use command PING to test link between that two computer.
It may caused by some services not startup when booting
But don't know which service effected.
please tell me.

I don't know about any services, but it might be caused by a firewall (even Windows Firewall) blocking ping requests.
