On the operating system front - perhaps best dealt with elsewhere, but in short if you haven't got a clear view as to a very amazing benefit this OS will bring above others (and why that can't be implemented in any existing OS) I wouldn't bother; to catch up with the current free offerings out there would be a monumental task even for a team of several hundred good developers working full time...!

I was doing some research on a os called tron. It says it is a real time operating system, which would mean it is faster than most. The only problem is that it is only in Japanese. I was thinking of starting a new project based on a real time os. If this forum isn't a good place, then where should I go?
