That's a pretty good card. It will do him well and won't break his bank. Just give us the absolute maximum you can spend. We will give you the best deal out there. You keep finding outdated parts which won't last you more than a year at best.

Actually thats the best deal available. he could go with a hd 4850 but its more expensive and the 9800 GTX+ matches or beats the hd 4850 in all game benchmarks.

the newegg one: XFX GEFORCE 9800GTX+ (Every Reviewer said they did not get the rebate so its solid $180)

And the cheapest gtx+ on newegg is $164. So yeah im suprised tigerdirect is selling it so cheap, go for it
