I dont think this is the right place for this thread.

But i would use the AVG - Free edition

Norton is a damn hog, and hopefully you can succesfully uninstall it.

AVG does not use much resources and works well AND IS FREE!!!!

here are some test reviews from CNET....their editors choice is Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6....i have always used McAfee with good luck...here's CNET's article.... http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-6600_7-6655968-1.html

out of the two you listed, you have to decide...avg is free, but norton is probably a little better. norton is reported to use more system resources, but depending on your computer's configuration it may not be a problem for you.

if you want free then use AVG Free Edition. If you want paid, go with NOD32. I've had trouble with mcafee in the past. Every computer I put it on crashes.... I've also had trouble with kaspersky, it's good but I get sick of all the pop up dialoges it gives me. I prefer something that's quiet and out of the way that's why I recommend AVG Free Edition or NOD32.
