Ok this might be a stupid question ,see if you have a wireless dsl router, dont you still need a wireless usb adapter to go into the back of a desktop pc? also same applies to a laptop which requires a wireless pcm network card?,im just confussed about that thats all, would be great if someone can correct me on this!thanks

I use a Belkin usb wireless on my laptop. Love the gizmo, hate the software. Just load the usb drivers, let xp do the rest. As for your desktop I use D-Link. The 510 pci card works great and you can swap out antennas if you need to, The usb doesn't give you that option.
You could also use a pcmcia card in the lappy but they cost more. Make sure your router is programmed correctly.

Hay,

if your PC comes inbuilt with an wireless adapter then no requirement. if not then you would need a wireless adapter in order to communicate with the router. The wireless adapter will comunicate with the Router.
