so I opened windows media player for the first time in like a month today. I play a song, and it starts skipping after like 2 minutes. I look at my cpu usage, and its about 96% of each of the cores. even gaming will never take it over 110% combined total (I was running 192% total for the math impaired) So I close it, restart the comp, no luck. Run virus and anti-spyware, no luck. I've defragged, and run c-cleaner, no luck. When I've got the anti-virus running, and Firefox, I'm idling at 1% per core. What makes windows media player jump 95% per core? and don't tell me to use winamp, I actually prefer WMP.
