windows explorer slow

for some reason, whenever i open a folder, open the All Programms menu or just try and browse folders like scroll down a folder it takes aggges to load things, ive done a defrag, ccleaner sweep, spyware sweep, coffecup cleaner, disk cleanup, defrag again, registry repair with ccleaner but it didnt help

any suggestions?

Time to reinstall Windows? How long has it been installed without a reinstall? I reinstall every year or so. If something like this happens to me and it's been just about a year, I just reinstall Windows and it works fine.

ermm.....pretty recent i think it was probably 6 months ago or so

Well, then idk. I'm having a similar prob with the bootup being really slow. I think I'm just going to do a Windows reinstall b/c it really annoys me. Mine's only been installed for 2ish months...
