Windows error sound when turn on external drive

When I turn on my external hard drive, I hear the windows error sound. Everything else with it works fine, I was just wondering if this sound is normal or not.

Maybe the sound it's suppose to make (the USB sound) got mixed up with the Windows Error sound. Look it up in the Control Panel, then go into Sounds and Audio Devices, then Sounds tab and look up the Device Connected sound to see if it gives you the same Windows Error sound.

Thanks, I went into the Sounds and Audio Devices area, and reset the sounds to Windows XP default. It looks like that is the sound it is supposed to make when you connect a device. It kind of sounds like an error sound, but I guess it's not.
