i am just curious. are you buying the FX-8Core only because it is am 8 core CPU?
a Previous generation i5 quad core (the i5-2500) are in most situations faster then a 8 core buldozer.
Don't expect it to be a KickAss CPU just because it is an 8-core.

Are you sure 20 inch screen is big enough for you? i will personally never go below a 24 inch monitor.

Sure you need 16GB of RAM? i think 8 gig is fine for you. are you doing any heavy 3D modeling or running any virtual machines?
