wierd ringing noise??

SO i was playing bf2... one map fine running great. Second map.. Great. Third map im playing and it starts to beep/ring in my head set.... what the hell is this.... And then i went to unhook my head set and it disconnected me from the server.... whats going.. any ideas.. my sounds been fine on bf2 for months.\

U tried again after these problems? If not then try, if it still doesn't work then maybe reinstall the game.
