whats your take on this?

as you all know there a graphic card named the GTS 250. from nvidia.

theres also a card named the HD 4770 from the ATI people.

i would like to play age of conan with decent frames but im in a pickle of which one of the two to get.

monitor size 17inch i play 1280x1024 i dont wanna use AA and i just wanna play the game buy my 7300LE is crap. help me out? thank you for taking your time to read this.

the 4770 should be ok at that res.... u should be able to get like med-high settings... the only problem is newegg is always out of the 4770 because its a really good budget card...

if you want to have headroom (to play future games) and u have a bit of spare cash... go with the gts 250..... but the 4770 should suit your needs fine

i was thinkn 250 but the benchmarks on some site the 4770 was at like 44frames and the 250 was at 39. maybe since ill be gone all summer when i get back core216 gtx 260 will drop like 20 bucks in price ill buy one of them. say i do this anyone know howmuch wattage it uses just it. because im supply cant handle it. but i have an extra 300w i could plug in just to run the card and thats all.

Age of Conan pretty much screams with ATi hardware. I don't know if it is an ATi branded game but it runs very well on their cards.

yes a GTX 260 core 216 is a very beast card for its price, Rohan23 seems to know more about that card than most of the people in these forums so you can always send him a message here
