What would be the better choice?

Get a Fx-62 and just leave everything else in my system.

Or get an E6600 (I won't be overclocking) and a new mobo?

On alot of benchmarks I see that the fx-62 beats the e6600.

i would HIGHLY reccomend getting the E6600 and OCing it. it can get up to 3.0 on air! if you REALLY dont want to OC than yes FX cpu's do beet the E6600 in SOME benches but the C2D is just flat out better in games and overall performance

Yea, I'm leaning more towards the FX-62, because it would be a cheaper upgrade.

Well yeah, if you are DEFINITELY not going to overclock, and you do not want to spend an extra 500 bucks on a mobo and the CPU, then it makes sense for you to get the fx-62, seeing as how you can keep the rest of your stuff. However, I do want to say that Intel is outdoing AMD in their higher-end stuff, and that you might be sorry you did not get an Intel compatible motherboard.

Just my $ .02

Well this will be my last upgrade for a while, and this 4200+ isn't cutting it.

Yeah, I hate saying it, but get the fx-62 if you do not want to spend much money and if you aren't going to OC.

Ok.

I like this 4200+ and all but it just ain't cutting it, you can see sometimes it struggles a bit, and it's only 2.2 ghz.

I'll go for the fx62, I'll let you guys know how it goes!
