What Socket...

Im trying to identify some socket numbers.the first one is a 1.4Ghz pentium 4,it's the same size a Socket 370,But it wont fit and it's not a socket 462..Any ideas what it could be?


The second one is a 2ghz pentium 4,it's the same size as a socket 478,but unlike socket 478,it has pins on it...Any ideas?

There are only 3 possibilities for a Pentium 4 - 423, 478, and LGA 775.
It's not LGA 775, only faster processors use that, so that leaves socket 423 or 478.


The 1.4 GHz is probably a socket 423 judging by the fact that it's similar to a socket 370. Here's a pic of a socket 423 P4:

Is the second one the same as the first one or no?? It sounds like a socket 478. Socket 478 has pins on it, I think you're thinking of LGA 775 that the pins are on the motherboard. Here's a pic of a socket 478 P4:
